Happy almost Valentine’s Day!! If you follow my blog, you know that I made some delicious DIY baked donuts for my Christmas party. Since they were such a big hit, I wanted to adapt them for Valentine’s Day! And what a better adaptation than DIY Red Velvet Donuts!!

What you will need for the donuts:

  • 1 Red Velvet Boxed Cake mix (my favorite is Duncan Hines)
  • 1 egg
  • 1/4 cup vegetable Oil
  • 1 cup water

What you will need for the glaze:

  • 1 tbsp butter
  • 1.5 cups powdered sugar
  • 3 tbsp milk
  • Sprinkles (optional but adorable)

Watch my step-by step YouTube video below (and if the link does not pop up click here):

They turned out so delicious, and surprisingly easy! Hope you have a Happy Valentine’s Day and if you try out this recipe be sure to share a photo with me!

Also, here is a photo of the donuts that I made for Christmas! Instead of red velvet cake mix I used vanilla cake mix and divided the batter into 2 piping bags after dying one batter red and one green. As you can see you can get super creative with this easy doughnut recipe! Click here to see all the desserts I made for my Christmas party.
